The 15th Technology Summit & Technology Platform organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) on November 26-27, 2009, in New Delhi came to a grand conclusion with Indian and Finnish Organizations signing 13 partnership deals worth millions of dollars of investment. The details of the partnership deals are as follows.
A Finnish weather service company Forcea and Spice Digital, a leading value added services company in the Telecom area in India, signed a MOU on offering mobile weather services in India
A Finnish company Sanako providing language education technology and HCL, India’s premier IT company signed another agreement.
A consortium of National Institutes of Technology of India signed a MOU with five Finnish Universities: Helsinki University of Technology,
University of Oulu, Tampere University of Technology, the University of Tampere and Laurea University.

The Technology Summit hosted more than 100 participants from Finland exhibiting products and technologies on areas of Nanotechnology, Clean Technology, ICT and Medical Diagnostics. The summit saw more than 400 B2B meetings happening between Indian and Finnish Organisations. The summit attracted more than 400 participants from India making it one of the biggest Technology Partnership platforms. The Finland delegation also visits various Industry and research organizations including Moser Baer and HCL to further deepen the ties.
