Parveen Kumar and Ravinder Jadeja rose to the occasion to hit 50 a piece. Indian batting collapsed to 170/10 in 48 overs. Parveen Kumar was aggressive and just took 51 balls for an unbeaten 54. Ravinder Jadeja patiently faced 103 balls to hit 57.
Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, M S Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh played really idiotic shots to get out at miserable scores and let their side down.
Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel were culprits in the end by not giving Parveen Kumar a chance to hit a few. Both of them tried to swing their own bats and did not connect. Both were out bowled. It is not for the first time that the two sorry bowlers have even given a sorrier performance with the bat.
Newcomer Bollinger took 5 wickets for 35 for Australia. Michel Johnson picked 3 wickets and Shane Watson took 2.
It will be interesting to see how Australia bat.
