Air Marshal NAK Browne visits air Force Station Halwara

Air Marshal NAK Browne Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Air Command arrived at Air Force Station Halwara on 17 Nov 09. Accompanied by Mrs. Kiran Browne, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), they were received by Group Captain Vikram Singh, Station Commander, Air Force Station Halwara and Mrs. Aarti Singh President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local).

During the visit, Air Marshal Browne paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreath at the Station War Memorial after reviewing an impressive Guard of Honour by the air warriors of the Station. He later addressed the station personnel and interacted with the key appointments as well as visited the various operational, maintenance and administrative setups and facilities within the base wherein he was also shown various projects undertaken by the station. He appreciated the efforts put in by the station personnel towards maintaining high standards in Operation, Maintenance and Administrative roles.

Mrs. Kiran Browne, besides interacting with the ‘Sanginis’ at the Station visited ‘Prerna’ a school for special children run by Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local) and Air Force School where she also inaugurated a Computer Lab with modern teaching aids and learning facilities.
