Heathrow night flights plan condemned

“Londoners already put up with the noise of the busiest airport in Europe, but at least they have some respite overnight.

“Enduring weeks of sleepless nights is simply too much to ask of people. The Civil Aviation Authority needs to look at other ways of handling the extra visitors expected for the Games.

“The Committee is conducting ongoing work on proposed expansion at Heathrow so we are well aware of the impact any increase in flights – day or night – will have on noise, air quality and climate change. This must be taken into account.”
