Sodexo launches the ‘Better Tomorrow Plan’ for India

The plan comprises of both broad and detailed commitments for sustainable corporate social responsibility for improvement in the areas of environment, health, wellness and community development.

With this renowned global success, Sodexo introduces this initiative to Indian shores with a progressive journey based on continuous improvements that proactively encourage involvement from internal and external stakeholders in India.

Structured on three fundamental priorities of improving Nutrition, Health & Wellness; developing Local Communities and preserving the Environment, ‘The Better Tomorrow Plan’ is poised at accomplishing the set objectives in a phased programme that extends up to 2020..

By providing multiple solutions Sodexo plans to fulfill the Health and Wellness solutions by ensuring reduced levels of sugar, salts and fats in the meals offered to their various clients. To accomplish the priority of developing local communities, Sodexo will fight against hunger and malnutrition and purchase only Fairtrade certified products where relevant and possible.

Whereas to justify the priority of preserving the environment, Sodexo commits on providing only sustainable fish and seafood to all its clients thereby reducing carbon footprint, water footprint and organic wastes, etc.

Sodexo aims at implementing ‘The Better Tomorrow Plan’ in all 80 countries so as to ensure the programme can deliver global reach and benefit, though commitments for each market that bring benefit and value.
