Simple Kapadia, sister of Dimple Kapadia, is no more. She died yesterday at an Andheri hospital after a long battle with cancer. Her friend Rahul Dholakia and sister Dimple Kapadia were by her side when she died.

Simple was one of leading costume designers of Bollywood and was a notable actress in 70s-80s era. She was born on the 15th of August 1958.

Her debut movie “Anurodh” was at the age of 18 with Rajesh Khanna as a co-star. Her performances in Ahsaas, Shaaka, Jeevan Dhara and Lootmaar were notable. Her last movie was Pyar ke Do Pal.

She started doing costume designing for Dimple Kapadia and Twinkle Khanna. Her costumes in Shaheed were widely acclaimed.
