A construction equipment major HYUNDAI CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT INDIA PVT. LTD. today inaugurated a 3 day free Medical Camp at Chakan as part of their CSR initiative. The camp will be held from Tuesday 28th December to Thursday 30th December 2010.

The 3 day multi-diagnostic medical camp was inaugurated by Hon’able Mr. S H Lee, Consul General of Korea.
A qualified medical team of 30 professionals including Paramedic staff has specially come down from Korea for the medical camp. The Korean Medical team comprises of Paediatrics, Gynaecologist, Dentist, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmologists, ENT, General and Oriental medicine professionals. The Korean Medical team will be supported by 12 local Doctors and Paramedics from Pavana Hospital, Talegaon. The 42 member medical team will administer and attend to approximately 1500 villagers and give away free medicines along with first aid kit to all those visiting the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sang Pyo Ji, Managing Director, Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Hyundai’s CSR focus is on Health and Education. Hyundai has hospitals and universities in Korea and conducts regular activities worldwide on the health front. Hyundai is highly active in sponsoring and providing aid in times of natural calamities too. Hence we are replicating the same model in India and are glad to inaugurate a 3 day multi-diagnostic free medical camp for nearby villagers of Hyundai Chakan plant.”

Day – 1 of the medical camp will be held at the HYUNDAI CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT INDIA PVT. LTD. India Plant, Day – 2 at Khalumbre village and Day – 3 at Sudumbre village.
