The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, today (November 27) expressed deep condolences over the death of veteran broadcaster Mr Chung Wai-ming.
Mr Chung was a leading broadcaster of the generation. In his more than 50 years of broadcasting, he participated in a variety of infotainment, educational and dramatised radio programmes which are loved by the people of Hong Kong. His consistently excellent performances earned him acclaim as the King of Broadcasting.
With his death, Hong Kong has lost an outstanding broadcasting talent. On behalf of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, I offer our deepest condolences to Mr Chungs family, Mrs Lau said.
