The program, part of easyday Market stores efforts to be the ‘Store of the Community,’ will collect money through the sale of colorful stars to customers at a nominal value of Rs.10 that customers will be encouraged to hang on a large Christmas tree in the store. The accumulated amount will be used to donate books and stationary for underprivileged children.
Talking about the initiative Mr. Andrew Levermore, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Retail, said, “Bharti Retail strongly believes in giving back to society and help people live better. This initiative is our endeavor to bring happiness in lives of underprivileged children during the Christmas festival season. easyday Market stores in Indore, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Ghaziabad, Jaipur and Gurgaon will also run this initiative. Bharti Retail’s CSR program involves voluntary and affirmative action in making significant contributions to create a positive impact on deprived sections of the society.
